In order to speed up the industrialization of China's satellite application development, the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, Applied Research Institute set up a satellite, and June 18 in Beijing held its opening ceremony city.
        To attend the opening ceremony that the leadership of relevant ministries, Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation to set up the Institute of satellite applications, will promote China's satellite application industry and the construction of reconfigurable systems, and promote the development of China's satellite application industry.
        It is reported that the newly established Institute of Satellite Applications Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation is the overall unit of satellite applications, satellite group will study the application of industrial development strategies, satellite application industry to participate in national policy, planning and standards; integrate related resources both within and outside the group, to strengthen research and development of satellite application systems, and grasp the core technology of satellite applications, providing system solutions for satellite applications; build a market-oriented management system to promote the group of satellite manufacturing, the application of integrated development.
        It is reported that in 2008, the global satellite industry to reach annual revenues of 123 billion U.S. dollars, satellite application industry accounts for about 88%. At present, China's satellite industry has covered four major areas, including satellite communications, satellite navigation, satellite remote sensing, as well as integration in various fields formed by the integrated applications.
